Why We Are Different

Sunshine Wholesome Market is a family-owned business specializing in strategic ethical buying with a local focus. Our mandate is to provide good quality, healthy and organic products both in grocery and at our fresh organic juice and smoothie bar while supporting local farmers and independent small businesses.

If you’re tired of the long-line ups and impersonal transactions that take place at your nearest big box store, the personal care we take to meet your needs and stock your favourite products will be a welcome change.

As for our juice bar, we use only the best organic ingredients, made from whole foods prepared on-site. No purées, no concentrates, no sugars added. We choose local ingredients first, and exclusively when available – meaning Ontario Strawberries always when they’re in season, even when cheaper imports are available.

Environmental considerations are made in all aspects of our operation. We strive to stock responsibly packaged products from ethically managed companies. We regularly review our shelves and industry news for changes that may affect the quality of products we carry and introduce us to any new items of interest. We use eco-friendly packaging at the juice bar and manage our waste carefully. We also use minimal energy consumption in the running of the store from lighting retrofits to limited heating resources.
